There is a spritely nature to Aviva. Not too pretty, not too plain. Cute, but not a face to launch a thousand ships or land her on any red carpet. It is a middle of the road pretty that still strokes to the vanity inside her.

This is the face her glamour shows the world, a little too young to be taken seriously. Bleached blonde hair, hazel eyes, and a friendly personality. None of the monsters would ever suspect her, and she's made more than a few practitioners raise their eyebrows in surprise. Some of her Sidhe shines through, however. Her human form is still moderately tall and her frame still leaned with tone muscle.


It would be impossible to call Kythaela human. Her skin a study of fresh cream, her hair in the pale tones of newly bloomed flowers. A flush of rose cuts her high cheeks, offset by a pair of naturally stained lips. Her eyes are too big to be mortal, large lavender irises that carry an eternally innocent expression. Delicately pointed eartips give more away, lined with rings and studs that curve the shell and dangle softly. A soft breeze always seems to follow her, just the barest wisp of a rustle, bringing with it the scent of fruit blossoms and fertile earth. Perhaps, even as odd as those features could be explained away, there is a preternatural grace to her walk and movement that exposes the truth.

Weaknesses:

❁ Iron - Iron is poisonous to all fae and deadly in large quantities.
❁ Cannot Lie - All fae must speak truthfully, though they can tangle words to manipulate the conversation.
❁ Must Honor Any Deal Made or Promise - Once a fae creates a bargain, it must be fulfilled. This does not mean it may be in the way the bargained asked for, and making a compact with a fae can be a very dangerous undertaking.
❁ Can be Entrapped - Fae, even more powerful ones, can be ensnared if they are not cautious. Even a low-level witch can catch them if a fae is foolish enough to fall into their trap. However, once released they are often vindictive and will find some way to claim revenge.
❁ The Rule of Three: If a fae speaks something three times, it becomes true. This can be an oath, a concession, or a binding promise.

Powers: Adseelie Magic



Active:

❁ Glamour: This is a gift given to most fae in varying degrees. For Aviva, it is strong and absolute.
❁ Healing: Through touch, the more bodily contact of skin the better. She can heal minor wounds with ease, and major wounds within days. Supernatural wounds take much more time, though she can draw silver from a fatal wound and heal damage from fire. She cannot, however, heal anything caused by iron.
❁ Transformation: Many fae have the ability of shapeshifting. Kythaela's is the ability to turn into a bluebird at will.
❁ Druidcraft: This is the creation and control of plants. She can summon anything from simple florets of baby's breath, to the tangling thorns of coiling brambles and whip-like vines. From something as innocuous as fruit for sustenance, or as lethal as neurotoxic berries and poisonous blooms.
❁ Summon Small-Kin ۵ Devas: Devas are small fairies that look almost like fireflies. Similar to will-o-wisps, they appear as bright orbs of light in nature, although they’re particularly found in the woods. Unlike their mischievous and malicious cousins, they are known to guide medical researchers or witches seeking to use plants for their medicinal qualities.

Passive:

❁ Fertility: When she is in permanent proximity to something, it causes them to blossom. Flora will grow healthier and stronger, the fertility of fauna increases.

Personality:

She is fairly outgoing and extremely charismatic. Very slow to anger, and Kythaela is more likely to walk away from a verbal conflict than to let it manifest into something foolishly spoken. Spring fae, she disguises herself under the umbrella of the Summer Seelie, and will misdirect anyone trying to hunt into her past.

She is more benign of the Sidhe, her talents for healing and rebirth instead of destruction. Kythaela has no issue working with other species and practitioners for an honest bargain.

Backstory:

Spring holds a tenuous thread, the foil of Autumn, lost to their diminished power.

There are so few Spring fae left, it is an impossible task to count them all. As far as the Sidhe go, Kythaela is still very young. Her backstory, where she came from, and what she was before Earth, is all a mystery. Even in the combined Court beneath Oberon's watch, her face is nearly unknown.

Her story begins at The Fallout. Kythaela was not there for the fight, or for the destruction that created a wasteland in Chicago. She followed after; when the gates were open and so many were destroyed or ruined. The need for healing and rebirth called to the very nature of her spirit.

Her place in the aftermath is to pull it together and to watch the edges of the frayed veil. While Summer and Winter ply their mechanisms, Kythaela ignores the politics for worry of what would happen if Earth and the Nevernever collide.
