It has been one year since the energy wave cascaded over the Earth. It was that day everything changed. People suddenly gained superpowers. Some become heroes, other became villains, others just wanted to live normal lives.Supers quickly became the newest media stars, gaining TV spots and fan clubs, even some getting paid for endorsements. The Earth's governments scrambled to control the threat of having super powered individuals walking around, but the genie was already out of the bottle.
There has been no explanation for the energy wave. Some claim it was a natural phenomenon. Others claim that the wave was generated on purpose to change the Earth. After one year, society is just starting to get used to the concept of Supers.
