Basic Fantasy: Keep on the Borderlands
At the far edge of the Anselian Empire lies the frontier between mankind and the forces of Chaos that seek to subjugate, corrupt and kill anyone they can their claws on, may they be human, elf, halfling or dwarf. While the threat ebbs and flows, it never goes away entirely and so there is always a need for brave people to help in the fight against Chaos. Their motivations may not be so idealistic, there are plenty who are in this fight solely for their own gain, but as long as they take up arms against the forces of Chaos, they are just as welcome as the selfless few.One of the bastions against the Chaos is the Keep on the Borderlands, the outer edge of the kingdom of Sanghia. Provided for but mostly left to its own devices, some feel that it doesn't get enough support from the kingdom or empire at large, despite it's important role as defenders of mankind. As such, adventurers are always welcome, whether they seek fame or wealth. While there haven't been many major incidents lately, there are certainly problems to deal with. And the relative quiet doesn't mean that the servants of Chaos are sleeping...
