Erdan Amakiir

Appearance
Erdan is a typical wood elf, with auburn hair that falls to his jaw line.  His features are angular yet pleasing to look upon, with a charming smile and dark, kind eyes.  He has a tan complexion that helps him to blend into natural surroundings - a common trait of his kind.

He often wears simple clothes, cotton brown trousers and a once-white long-sleeved shirt that's more yellow now with age and wear.  A leather jerkin covers his chest and falls below his waist, covering his hips and his leather boots are well-worn.  He carries a sword, a bow and uses a hiking staff that he incorporates into casting magic.

What we know about him
Erdan is a somewhat enigmatic companion and you can only guess the origin of his abilities (his class).

At first glance, he's a typical wood elf with leather armor and well trained with sword and bow.  Spending more time with him, you've suspected that he has a hint of fey in him.  When sunlight shines on him, he gains a subtle halo.  When he's heavy in an intense conversation, his brown eyes sometimes lighten to amber briefly.

He does use magic, and you have witnessed him mostly utilizing illusions.

He can be charming and is usually quite friendly.  He's often shown that he has a sharp tongue that honeyed words slide off of.  He haggles well, has negotiated his way out of tense situations and seems to make more friends than enemies.  On the flip side, he has an aversion to cruelty and bullies and will quickly take on darker tones when dealing with it.

You may have also caught him talking to himself at night when others are sleeping and he's outside of his 4-hour elvish meditation.

As far as his background goes, he's shared that he's from a small village called Meliamne where he apprenticed as a carpenter.  At some point in our travels, he's proven this by fixing a broken wagon wheel for a family of distressed travelers we happened upon one day.  He says he left home to see the world and meet others who strive to make it better.

He also likes to tell stories, especially when he's drunk, about an elven barony that was told to him as a child.  It often involves tense politics between high elves & wood elves that leads to civil war and then ends tragically with the land and its people becoming corrupted.
