Dabhaidh has short styled, dark brown hair, which is neatly groomed. He has a tan complexion, not unusual for his clan, and dark blue-green eyes. Although an adult by gnomish reckoning, Dab has yet to develop a full beard, and prefers a smart set of mutton chops. Dabs supple hands are well maintained and his fingernails are neatly trimmed. He has a lean, medium build for his race, and a confident, purposeful stride.
He wears a smart, loose fitting, burgundy hooded robe, that covers dark brown breeches and a white cotton shirt. At his belt is tied a large pouch, from which he draws darts to hurl, and a dagger. His boots are low cut, suitable for walking long distance and he carries a stuffed backpack that contains his remaining worldly possessions.
Background:
Dabhaidh was born in the village of Goldenbrooke; one of a number of scattered gnomish freeholdings in the central region of the Cairn Hills. His Clanhold, Donnachaidh, are well regarded for their skills in woodworking, with only a select few having developed skills in magic or even choosing to adventure. Dab developed an interest in religious observances; enjoying the gatherings and services, especially the illusionary images created for the services. Dab's faith and talent ensured a natural progression towards being a follower of Garl Glittergold, the patriarch of the gnomish pantheon, and the study of illusions. Dab's life choice and interest has been well received by his clan, and his parents (Fuerngal and Missiebach) are both very proud of his successful training. Already well past his 100th birthday, Dab has made the decision to embark on a quest of enlightenment. Pleasantly sheltered from worldly affairs, Dab seeks the necessary experience and knowledge, hoping to have greater involvement in the dedications of faith as a community elder. His destination was the Kron Hills and a location believed to be the origin of his ancestors before they moved and settled in the Cairns. Travelling west he stopped briefly in Greyhawk City, but after a couple of unfriendly encounters, he left and took a barge down the Selintan toward the Wild Coast. Disembarking before Hardy, he headed west toward Narwell with a plan to cross the northern Welkwood and onward into the Kron Hills.
