Description/Appearance: On Shadrach's head, no hair will grow, making his eyes all the more salient as they bore into all that they disdain. He wears a suit of banded mail still dusted with sea salt and holds a shield, emblazoned with the image of a crumpled chapeaux, with his left arm, with his longsword sheathed in his belt. Across his chest, hanging from a leather thong, is an iron stardust icon of St. Cuthbert. A gray cloak covers his humped back, humped in the shape of a backpack.
Background: Raised to have been an apprentice pig keeper, Shadrach manifested an otherworldly charisma in his early teens, leading to his having been rescued from this fate by the local order of Cuthbert where the brothers schooled him in the martial and divine arts. On his 19th birthday, they bid him travel to Narwell, dire omens and premonitions having directed their concerns there. These signs were not limited to the dreams of the monks of St. Cuthbert. Shadrach even heard from his own parents of the birth of a two-headed sow that did not have the decency to die after its first breaths.
