Olewyn is the eldest child of a hunter living among a clan of humans who are known as Woodsmen of Mirkwood. Her mother was a leather worker for the clan in charge of keeping things in good repair and preparing skins that could be traded with other clans or tribes. Her mother is well-known among the clans of Woodsmen for being a hard worker and willing top barter for the benefit of others.

As the eldest Olewyn found herself often being indulged by her father and her various uncles who taught her skills to survive the dangers of living in Mirkwood. It was to her an ideal childhood marked with the joy of learning. When she reached an age where she should start learning a trade to help the clan she convinced her father to teach her to be a hunter like him. There was a thrill to being able to go out alone or with a select group to provide food and safety for the ones she held dear. When he sustained an injury on a hunt that prevented him from being able to go out hunting safely again Olewyn took over as a hunter fully. She spent years honing her trade and learning from her uncles and other hunters.

Now as a grown woman Olewyn is finding herself at a bit of a cross roads. The hunt still draws her as a way to provide for her family but tales of things outside of Mirkwood have gotten her curious. There could be ways to still provide for the people she loves while seeing more of the world. It is like a hunt just of a different kind. Besides, she can see that her siblings are ready to stand on their own. It is not selfish to want to see what other things are out there.
