Bryxton Morris (Brick)

DESCRIPTION

Bryxton Morris, aka "Brick," is a giant of a man. While not tall enough to see exactly eye-to-eye with Shaquille O'Neal, he's certainly tall enough to give him a headbutt if he wanted too. That great physical size is coupled with a physique that can best be described as, no pun intended, "brick shithouse." And not that sexy, magazine cover bodybuilder body either, but a working man's body. Which means corded muscles over a thick trunk. Which is a fancy way of saying that Brick looks like he enjoys beer and burgers, even while he's dead-lifting the back end of a pickup truck. Which, to be fair, he does. Grease stains and other less wholesome fluids often stain his clothing, which is more often than not more ruggedly functional than stylish.

His personal grooming matches his clothing choice. For the most part, his long hair and beard are wild and unkempt. However, as such things can often get caught or otherwise hinder, Brick will usually either tie it back, or if he is feeling bored and wants something to do, braid it. This, along with his other obvious physical attributes make him look like a wild outlaw biker, which he is. Kind of.

The unusual accessories that mark him as an oddity besides his above average height and weight are the denim cut he keeps on his person at all time, and the leather pouches and holsters that sit on his waist. Sometimes they are filled with mundane items like keys and money. Other times they hold automotive tools. And sometimes they hold weapons that would definitely raise and eyebrow or two from law enforcement, which is why he goes out of his way to only carry those items during times of extreme need, or at night. Or if it's Thursday. Really, he doesn't need that much provocation to come out dressed for war.

HISTORY

A native of south Boston, Bryxton Morris grew up in a poor broken home. With three brothers, and five sisters, Bryxton found himself in a care-giving role early. Combined with an abusive father, the young man had to do a lot of maturing very quickly. If it wasn't for his siblings, he might have taken off long ago. The fact that he stuck around to finish high school, albeit with barely passable grades, is almost a miracle.

But by that time, as often happens with angry young men from rough upbringings, a bad element had gotten their hooks into him. The Pagans MC became his new family. Despite the criminal activities that they undertook, Bryxton was making enough money to support his younger siblings, and he finally had a sense of belonging and safety. And after a few years of running with the outlaw club, he finally confronted his father, and made sure he would never raise a hand to his mother and siblings ever again. And so it went, for almost twenty years. Bryxton fell more and more into the MC life.

However, one summer, fate took a dark turn.

The Boston chapter of the Pagans MC had a yearly tradition of camping on Lake Durant in Hamilton County, NY, for a long weekend in the summer. Only, this last year, they had an uninvited guest. On the second night of partying, the bikers were set upon by a vicious creature, bravely able to be seen in the light of the bonfire. Despite being a rough and tumble group of hardened bikers, it was a massacre. Twelve of the Pagans were butchered, along with their wives and girlfriends who had joined them. Only Bryxton survived, and even then his injuries were astounding. A club prospect was a latecomer to the party, and found Bryxton alive. He brought him back to Boston to be treated by a doctor sympathetic to the club.

For months while healing, Bryxton delved into the darkest, most conspiratorial parts of the internet, looking for any kind of information on the monster that could have done this to them. Eventually, he discovered the hidden world of the supernatural, and the hunters that policed it. Burning with vengeance, Bryxton withdrew from the Boston chapter of the Pagans and went nomad.

As cover.

In reality, he started hunting things. Horrible things. Deadly things. But the big man was so full of fury that he didn't care. He wanted to be the thing that those things that went bump in the night feared. And for many years, the burly biker was successful. Hunting most monsters with a combination of brute strength and sheer tenacity. Until one day he was contacted by a mysterious benefactor...
