• This game is under the Contemporary, Historical & Action/Adventure genres.
• The game system is GURPS.

The Phantom Jungle (GURPS)

• We will be using a pre-made, pulp-style adventure somewhat similar in manner to the Indiana Jones movies.
  
• That means this will not be a sandbox-style campaign - there will be a definite goal that characters strive to achieve.
  
• The adventure is set in the real world jungles of South America in the year 1936.

• This will be a realistic, rules-light (for GURPS anyway), by-the-book adventure, in which there is a "main" storyline to follow and character death is possible.
  
• GURPS books allowed: We will only be using 4th edition Basic Set: Characters and GURPS Lite rules.
  
• This will be a bit of a learning experience for me, as I have little experience with GURPS. Consequently GURPS newbies are encouraged to apply - we can all learn together!
  
• We will be using the Combat Lite rules, which can be found at the back of the Basic Set: Characters book, or in the GURPS Lite rules.
  
• You can use a pre-generated character or create your own - see the character creation thread for more information and details about this.

• The posting rate will be about 2-3 times per week.
  
• Please use a color for your character's quoted text - but not orange, as we'll use that for out-of-character posts and questions.
  
• If you don't make a post for 2 weeks I'll consider you to be done, and will seek a replacement for your character, or kill them off in a blaze of glory!  If you are going to be away, please let me know and we'll handle it.
  
• I like posts that are more than one sentence long, but no need to write multiple paragraphs.
  
• As always, please be respectful of other players.  And remember that this is a game of cooperation - attempting to harm other characters without a darn good reason will be frowned upon... mightily!
  
• This game is NOT an adult or mature level game - keep it PG-13 (or below) please!

• I have been playing RPGs for several decades, so even though I don't have much GURPS experience I do have experience with other games.
  
• When it comes to role playing games, I try not to bite off more than I can chew.  Consequently I am only in one other game here on RPOL.  I like to focus on the games I am playing, and be present for those.  I hope you will do the same.
