love it. i was actually running a travelor campaign, 6 years ago with 3 other people. the group fell apart because one of my players purchased an obsolete scout ship at a depo, found a bargain, and the ship was great for it's purpose. anyways, he meets the onboard AI, who introduces himself as ORION, to his new master/owner. ORION is a male personality, and the ship is pushing 50 yrs or so, so he's pretty developed in his persona. well, my player immediately says he wants ORION to change his gender to a feminine persona. this caused me to make a reaction roll for ORION and it was bad. XD so, his new ship didn't like him, and would make remarks, etc. he threw a fit and it was like a last straw sort of thing, i guess and we lost him, a key player. I'll build my charactor around the one i was using at the time

ROFL, seriously funny. I can just imaging a player asking another character to change sex for him, then throwing a hissy fit when they object! Yeah, some players are funny about what sets them off. Some GM's too, but fortunately not here, and not me (I think!).

haha yeah, big babies. xD anyways, i was looking over the house rules, and i can't find anywhere stating how many points we are allocated for charactor development.

I'd wager the latter. lol "oh captain, i love it when you hook up my power coupling, and charge up my loading ramp!" i thought it was the perfect time to roll the dice!

ORION actually started to go against his programing, and one of the other party members had a cybernetic head computer with a female AI  *SYNERGY* that essentially gave him two minds. well, they began to conspire mutiny. lol it was kinda more than just the petty begnining, after things snow-balled.

Something   similar  happened in Futurama

the bawl-baby's player was actually a cool charactor. he was a bounty hunter/robo mechanic. he started with a junked ship, (that he owed money on still!), wound up getting involved with a scout pilot attached to the navy, who was called in for a special scouting mission to see what happened to a frontier science colony that they lost contact with. turned out a zombie virus outbreak coupled with pirate troubles was the case.
